Custom Blinds in Mijas, Marbella and the Costa del Sol

Cortidea has been designing and installing custom blinds on the Costa del Sol since 1995. Our showroom is on Carretera de Mijas km. 3, and we install across Mijas, Marbella, Estepona, Fuengirola and the wider Costa del Sol.

We supply roller blinds, vertical blinds, Venetian blinds, Roman blinds, blackout blinds, day and night blinds and motorised blinds, all made-to-measure for your windows. Whether you need light control for a bedroom, glare reduction for a south-facing terrace, or a smart motorised system for a villa, we will recommend the right product for your space and budget.

Every project starts with a free home consultation, exact measurement and a no-obligation quote. We supply Luxaflex, Saxun and other leading European brands, chosen for build quality, child safety and warranty support, and we install blinds designed for the strong Spanish sun and Costa del Sol heat.

Dutch heritage, market-leading motorisation, and one of the deepest blackout ranges in the industry. Luxaflex set the bar for child-safe operating systems and warranty support.
Designed and manufactured in the province of Alicante, Spain, an area well acquainted with the sun, the effects of its incidence, and how to provide thermal solutions for any need. All products are highly customisable and tailor-made, making it possible to implement any project, however innovative, exclusive, and particular it may be.
Novadeco’s approach always goes hand in hand with contributing to a better and cleaner world. They invest in sustainable materials and design; they take care of our environment and work with brands that share and represent their values.

Types of Blinds We Install

Roller blinds

The most flexible blind we install. Available in a wide choice of fabrics, from semi-transparent screen fabrics that filter the Costa del Sol sun to full blackout for bedrooms. Manual chain or motorised, with optional cassette for a cleaner finish. Read the full roller blinds guide.

Vertical blinds

Best for large windows, sliding doors and patio doors. Vanes can tilt to control glare and rotate fully out of the way for clear views. We supply a wide range of fabrics, including blackout and dim-out options. Read the vertical blinds guide.

Venetian blinds

Aluminium or wooden slats with full tilt control. Excellent for bathrooms, kitchens and home offices where you want both privacy and precise light control. Available in 25mm, 50mm and timber-look finishes. Read the Venetian blinds guide.

Roman blinds

Soft-fold fabric blinds that lift cleanly to the top of the window when raised. Ideal for living rooms and bedrooms where curtains would be too heavy. We sew them in-house from any fabric in our library. Read the Roman blinds guide.

Blackout blinds

Available across roller, Roman, vertical and Venetian ranges. Side channels and pelmets eliminate light leaks at the edges, important for bedrooms on the south-facing Costa del Sol where summer sunrise is early and bright.

Day and night blinds

Two layers of fabric, alternating sheer and opaque, that slide past each other to give you full control over light and privacy without changing the blind. Popular for living rooms and dining areas. Read the day and night blinds guide.

Motorised blinds

Most of our blind types can be motorised, with options for individual remote control, group control, sun and wind sensors, and integration with smart-home systems. Motorisation can be retrofitted to many existing blinds. Read the motorised blinds guide.

Blind Installations Across Mijas and Marbella

Mijas

We install blinds throughout Mijas, including Las Lagunas (where our showroom sits), Mijas Pueblo, La Cala de Mijas and Calahonda. The Costa del Sol sun is intense, particularly on south-facing terraces and west-facing windows. We typically recommend semi-transparent roller blinds for daytime light control and dedicated blackout blinds for bedrooms.

Marbella

Our blind installations in Marbella cover Nueva Andalucía, San Pedro de Alcántara, Puerto Banús and Elviria. Marbella villas often have tall windows and sliding patio doors that benefit from vertical or motorised roller blinds. We also install Venetian blinds in kitchens and bathrooms where humidity rules out fabric options.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you install blinds across the Costa del Sol?

Yes. Our showroom is on Carretera de Mijas km. 3, and we install across Mijas, Marbella, Estepona, Fuengirola, Calahonda, La Cala and the surrounding areas.

Which blind type is best for a bedroom on the Costa del Sol?

For bedrooms we recommend a dedicated blackout roller or Roman blind, ideally with side channels to stop light leaking around the edges. Costa del Sol summer sunrise is around 7am and the light is strong; without proper blackout, sleep tends to suffer.

Can blinds be motorised?

Most of our blinds can be motorised, including roller, Roman, vertical and Venetian. We offer remote-control, smart-home integration, and sun and wind sensors. Motorisation can also be retrofitted to many existing setups.

How long do blinds last in Spain?

A well-installed blind from a quality manufacturer typically lasts 10 to 15 years. UV exposure on the coast is the main wear factor, particularly on west-facing windows. Replacement fabrics are usually available without changing the headrail or mechanism.

Are your blinds child-safe?

Yes. We supply blinds that comply with European child-safety standards: cordless operation where possible, breakaway connectors on chains, and motorisation as the safest option for homes with young children.

How much do made-to-measure blinds cost?

Prices vary by size, fabric and motorisation. As a guide, a quality made-to-measure roller blind starts in the low hundreds of euros installed. We provide a free, no-obligation quote after a home visit.

Do you install blinds for businesses and hotels?

Yes. We work with hotels, restaurants and commercial premises across the Costa del Sol, including contract-grade fabrics, fire-rated options and large multi-unit motorised installations.

Do I need to be at home for the installation?

Yes for the initial measurement visit and the final installation, so we can confirm fit and operation. The installation itself usually takes a few hours for a typical home, depending on the number of blinds.
