Cortidea has been designing and making curtains on the Costa del Sol since 1995. Our showroom is on Carretera de Mijas km. 3, and we install across Mijas, Marbella, Estepona, Fuengirola and the wider Costa del Sol.
We make fully bespoke curtains in any heading style, including eyelet, pinch pleat, wave, pencil pleat and tab top, with options for blackout linings, thermal linings and interlinings for added insulation. Our fabric library includes Designers Guild, Sanderson, Casamance, Harlequin, Kvadrat and Romo, with hundreds of fabrics available to view in our Mijas showroom.
Every project starts with a free home consultation, professional measurement and a no-obligation quote. Curtains are sewn by experienced makers and professionally installed across the Costa del Sol, with optional motorised tracks for larger or harder-to-reach windows.
Modern, easy to draw, and informal. Metal eyelets thread directly onto a pole. Best for living rooms and bedrooms with poles rather than tracks. Available in a wide choice of fabrics, with optional blackout or thermal lining.
The classic, formal style. Crisp, evenly-spaced pleats at the heading. Pair with a track and pelmet for the most refined look. Strong choice for formal living rooms and dining areas.
A contemporary continuous S-fold heading on a track. The fabric drapes evenly along its full length, creating clean vertical lines. Excellent for tall, modern windows and floor-to-ceiling installations.
A traditional, gathered heading suitable for both poles and tracks. Versatile, easy to operate, and well suited to older properties or rooms with traditional decor.
A relaxed, less formal style. Tabs slide directly onto a pole. Hidden-tab versions tuck the tabs behind the fabric for a cleaner front. Best for casual rooms and lighter fabrics.
Available across all curtain styles. Blackout linings stop light leaking through the fabric, important for bedrooms on the Costa del Sol. Thermal linings reduce heat loss in winter and heat gain in summer, useful for villas with single-glazed windows.
For very long runs, very tall windows, or hard-to-reach openings. We supply motorised tracks with remote control or smart-home integration, retrofittable to many existing setups.
We make curtains for homes throughout Mijas, including Las Lagunas (where our showroom sits), Mijas Pueblo, La Cala de Mijas and Calahonda. We bring fabric samples to your home so you can see them in your own light, against your walls and floors. Most projects use blackout linings for bedrooms and lighter sheers or interlinings for living rooms.
In Marbella we work across Nueva Andalucía, San Pedro de Alcántara, Puerto Banús and Elviria. Marbella villas often have floor-to-ceiling windows that suit wave-heading curtains on motorised tracks. We frequently combine curtains with blinds on the same window: blinds for daytime light control, curtains for warmth and a softer look in the evening.
Yes. Our showroom is on Carretera de Mijas km. 3, and we measure, make and install across Mijas, Marbella, Estepona, Fuengirola and the surrounding areas.
From confirmed fabric and measurements, four to six weeks is typical, depending on fabric stock and heading style. Faster turnaround is sometimes possible for in-stock fabrics.
Most Costa del Sol bedrooms benefit from both: a blackout blind close to the window for sleep, and curtains for warmth and softer evening light. Living rooms and dining rooms often work well with curtains alone, especially on tracks. We help you decide on the home visit.
Blackout fully stops daylight passing through the fabric. Dim-out reduces light significantly without complete blackout. Thermal lining reduces heat transfer through the curtain, helping with cool rooms in winter and reducing solar gain in summer. The three can be combined.
Yes. We supply and install corded tracks, motorised tracks, and decorative poles in metal and wood, including bay-window solutions and curved tracks where needed.
Cost depends on window size, fabric choice, lining and heading style. As a guide, a single window in a quality fabric with blackout lining starts in the high hundreds of euros installed. We give a free no-obligation quote after the home visit.
Yes. We offer a take-down, dry-clean (via partner cleaners) and re-hang service for existing curtains, including ironing where required.
